SunPower® Manufacture Direct Installation
When you work with SunPower by PGT Solar, you are working directly with the manufacturer. The same company that designed and manufactured your home solar system will also install and service it at no additional cost. Getting started with solar is a simple five-step process, and we’re with you every step of the way.
Step 1: Design Your Home Solar System
Every relationship starts with a complementary ‘going solar’ consultation so we can examine your energy needs and make an initial determination as to whether your home is a good candidate for solar panels. It is also an opportunity for us to answer your questions and understand your goals and expectations. Based on the information we gather, we design your solar system, review it with you, and refine it until it meets your needs. Once we’ve designed the system and reviewed financing options, we enter into an agreement.
Step 2: Assign a Project Coordinator and Complete a Site Survey
Once the agreement is signed, we introduce you to your project coordinator. The project coordinator will schedule a site survey to make sure the installation goes smoothly. Of course, your representative from SunPower by PGT Solar is always available to answer your questions or address any concerns.
Step 3: Secure Permits and Approvals
Your SunPower project coordinator is responsible for securing HOA approval and city permits, coordinating work with the utility company, and scheduling required inspections. All of the necessary paperwork is completed for you so that the system complies not only with building and electrical codes, but also with best practices.
Step 4: Install and Activate the System
Once all the permits have been secured, your SunPower project coordinator makes an appointment with you to have your home solar system installed. SunPower also reviews the system manual and familiarizes you with each component. After a final inspection, your system is turned on and starts generating clean, renewable energy.
Step 5: Provide Ongoing Customer Service
From the initial meeting through the life of your solar system, the team from SunPower by PGT Solar is available to answer your questions and address your concerns. Your satisfaction is our number one goal.
